Questions
Does mediation work for ancestral or shared property?
It works when every party is willing to talk. A neutral facilitator, an honest valuation and quick drafting of the deed all help. It is voluntary, so no one can promise a settlement.
What if one party refuses to take part?
Mediation needs everyone’s agreement to attend. If one party declines, we explain the other routes, which may include a partition suit conducted by a qualified advocate.
Can parties abroad take part without travelling?
Yes. Sessions run online at a time that suits everyone. Registration of the deed may need personal presence or a valid POA, which we plan in advance.
Do you charge fixed fees?
Fees depend on the documents, the number of parties and the offices involved. You receive the scope and the fee in writing before work starts. Government fees, stamp duty and courier charges are paid at actuals.
How long will my work take?
It depends on the authority involved and on how complete your documents are. Registrations, certificates and tax applications move at the pace of the office concerned, so we give you realistic stages rather than a promised date, and keep you updated at each stage.
